Why Polyurethane Foam Concrete Lifting?

The process of polyurethane foam concrete lifting has many advantages compared to other, older techniques. Heroes Raising Concrete LLC decided to offer only the best when it comes to concrete raising, leveling, and stabilization. Here is why polyurethane foam concrete raising is better than the traditional method of concrete lifting by mud jacking:

Fast cure time. The polyurethane foam can be driven on within minutes, not 24-48 hours. Full load time for a driveway, sidewalk or another concrete slab can happen as quickly as 15 minutes after the foam is injected.
Smaller injection holes. There will 5/8 inch injection holes (size of a dime) vs 1- to 2-inch holes. This allows for less visible patching.
Waterproof and moisture barrier. The high-density, closed-cell nature of polyurethane foam makes it resistant to water penetration. This offers a more stable material in wet conditions. It will not wash away or leach harmful materials into the soil.
Expanding properties of foam. Polyurethane foam can spread into voids as small as 1/32 of an inch. It can expand 15 times its initial volume. This will help fill even the smallest of voids under your driveway, sidewalk or another concrete slab.
Lightweight. Polyurethane foam weighs only 2 pounds per cubic foot compared to 100 pounds per cubic foot for standard mud jacking material. The added load created by the mud jacking slurry can weaken the soil below your slab over time and that can cause the issue to reoccur. Foam has superior lifting capabilities and supports substantial loads over the long haul.
